Here's a few pictures of why prairie sunrises and sunsets are some of the most spectacular around.

Sunrise and Sunset Pictures

Jansen is located in the central area of the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada. It was founded in 1905 by John Jansen. Located just west of the Quill Lakes region - known mainly for bird hunting and migratory pathways, it is a small community of around 200 people.

As many small Saskatchewan towns, the farming community of Jansen was no different with the abundance of sports enthusiasts in the form of football, baseball, softball, figure skating, and hockey. Some Jansen players have even played in the NHL.

Communities located near and around Jansen include: Leroy, Drake, Lockwood, Nokomis, Wynyard, Esk, Lanigan, Dafoe, Kandahar, Watson, St. Gregor, Muenster, Semans, Raymore, Quinton, Punnichy, Guernsey, Humboldt,...

The town is also mid-located - approximately 100 miles - from four cities - Regina, Saskatoon, Melfort, and Yorkton.

Let's take a cruise down Jansen Main Street, (and some side streets), not quite the same as Main Street, DisneyLand, but it's home for me.
